Lean into alignment
In 2016, Jessica Huie’s beloved father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the time Jessica was a busy entrepreneur running her own PR agency, but when she started caring for her father, she stopped doing for the first time in her life and was finally forced to be present. The experience of caring for her father in the final stages of his life was extremely profound and transformed Jessica’s outlook, which she wrote about in her first book, Purpose, published by Hay House in 2018.
In Purpose, Jessica invites us to reconnect with who we are beneath the layers of roles, titles and belief systems. She reminds us that our experiences and social conditioning determine the narratives we hold about ourselves and our lives, and in an era where so many of us define our identity by the title on our business card, she promises that “stripped back is where we meet ourselves.”
